Both the coast of the province of Tarragona and the interior areas are a very good option to enjoy tours for all levels of cycling, from trekking or road cycling with the possibility to link several days in areas such as Priorat, Costa Dorada or the known and plain delta of the Ebro.
The greenway of Tarragona joins towns such as Horta de Sanjuan and Tortosa using the old railway line that crosses a lot of tunnels and viaducts, making this route a very scenic route and always with a tendency to descend towards the sea. It’s a route suitable for all riders. The abundant fields of fruit trees, the vineyards, the river, the rice fields and the small towns of the area make up a diverse and picturesque landscape with great attractions for its visitors. The gastronomy of the area with a large presence of rice and fish is also an important point and to be considered as a tourist attraction, without forgetting the calçots that are native to the Valls area and that we can eat in winter.
Tarragona itself as a city has an attractive tourist point, having one of the best historical-Roman Mediterranean areas, it is also well connected to Barcelona and Valencia by highway, regional train or even with the high-speed train where we cannot carry the bicycle, but we can use it to get closer to Tarragona quickly.
