The Landscape usually marks the identity of a territory. In the Penedès the vineyards are by no doubt the main element that sculpt the landscape, the culture and the economy of the area. It is a unique landscape between Barcelona and Tarragona and its boundaries are the Mountains and the Sea.

Penedès is a wine-producing region having a Spanish Denominació d’Origen. The area is framed by Montserrat, Garraf and Prades. Considered one of the country’s best wine-producing regions after La Rioja, it is also one of the most ancient viticulture areas in Europe. Better known for its Cava production, a sparkling wine, by companies like Freixenet.

The Foix Reservoir which holds water from the river with the same name, is in the southernmost part of the El Penedès depression, it covers an area of 2,900 hectares.

Comarruga and Costa Dorada. The thermal water coming out in Comarruga was declared medicinal by the Royal Academy of Medicine in Barcelona in 1892.

Santa Martí Sarroca is a jewel of the European Romanesque. The Romanic monumetal complex of the Church and the castle of Sant Martí Sarroca is situated strategically on top of the hill of La Roca, and is considered as National interest. From the Xth & XIIth  century.

La Giralda de l’Arboç is a Replica of the Giralda (in Sevilla – Andalucia). It was built between 1899 and 1907. In the interior you can find a reproduction of the internal “patio” de los leones of the Alhambra in Granada.

Bodegas Torres‘ headquarters in Vilafranca del Penedès are the roots of a great dream that has grown ever since day one. Enjoy an unforgettable visit to the wineries. Try the wines produced there, soak up the nature and relax while enjoying the world of wine.

Sant Sadurní d’Anoia and Freixenet A town known for its high concentration of cava producing companies. There are over 80 of these in the town. The exterior architecture of some of them is of great beauty and they are all characterized by the subterranean spaces that make up kilometers and kilometers of cellars, lined with bottles resting there in the silent darkness.

Sitges is a privileged enclave on the Mediterranean coast, protected by the Garraf’s Parc mountains, Sitges has an excellent micro-climate that allows you to enjoy this beautiful coastal town. Throughout the year there are countless events, such as the International Film Festival, Carnival, local festivities, Theatre Festival, Vintage, Gay Pride, concerts and more. Its cultural and artistic, its extensive and varied range of activities throughout the year  justify a visit, which promises to be unforgettable.
